Domain and DNS details
For every registered domain behind your monitored websites, we collect registration and DNS information once a day.
Registration data (RDAP)
We use RDAP, the registries’ official structured replacement for WHOIS, to show:
- Registrar and domain status codes
- Registration and expiry dates, where the registry publishes them
- Registry nameservers
- The data source and when it was last refreshed
Some registries do not operate RDAP or withhold or redact fields for privacy. When that happens we say so plainly instead of guessing.
DNS records
We resolve A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT and CAA records for the registered domain, and A/AAAA/CNAME records for each monitored subdomain.
Domain expiry alerts
Domain registration expiry alerts use their own thresholds (for example 60, 30 and 7 days) and are separate from SSL certificate alerts.
